How to brew HOT tea
- Always use fresh cold water
- Use 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup of water
- If your tea is not strong enough adjust the amount of tea not the brewing time
Black and Oolong
Steep in boiling water for approximately 4 minutes.
Green and White
Do NOT boil the water. Boiling water will cause the tea to taste bitter. Use water that has not quite boiled or allow a boiled kettle to rest for 5 minutes before using. Steep the tea for approximately 2-3 minutes.
Herbals and Fruit
Steep in boiling water for 5 or more minutes. Fruit teas may require more than 1 teaspoon per cup to taste strong enough.
Rooibos and Honeybush
Steep in boiling water for approximately 3 minutes.
How to brew Traditional Chai tea
- Always use fresh cold water
- Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of tea for each cup of water
- Bring water and tea to a boil in a pot then add the same amount of milk as water and reboil
- Let simmer for 1 minute then strain and serve
- Sweeten to taste
How to brew ICED tea
- Always use fresh cold water
- Use approximately 2 teaspoons of tea for each cup of water
- Steep all teas the same as above except for the fruit teas, which can steep for as long as possible
- Allow tea to cool to room temperature than add the same amount of water again and chill
